# Submitting to App Stores

> Submit your Blockli app to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store from Studio.

After a successful build, Studio can submit the binary directly to the App Store and Google Play using your stored credentials.

## iOS — App Store

### Prerequisites

* App Store Connect API key uploaded (see [iOS Credentials](/studio/credentials-ios))
* App record created in App Store Connect with the matching bundle ID
* Build completed in Studio with status **Finished**

### Submitting

1. In Studio, go to **Build** and click the completed iOS build.
2. Click **Submit to App Store**.
3. Studio uses your App Store Connect API key to upload the binary to App Store Connect via the Transporter protocol.
4. Once uploaded, the build appears in App Store Connect under **TestFlight** within a few minutes.

### After upload

* **TestFlight**: Add the build to a TestFlight group for internal or external testing before releasing
* **App Store release**: In App Store Connect, go to your app, click **+ Version**, select the uploaded build, fill in release notes and screenshots, then submit for review

Apple's review typically takes **1–3 days** for new apps and **hours to 1 day** for updates.

## Android — Google Play

### Prerequisites

* Google Play service account JSON uploaded (see [Android Credentials](/studio/credentials-android))
* App created in Google Play Console with the matching package name
* First release must be manually uploaded if this is a new app (Google Play API does not allow creating a new listing programmatically)
* Build completed in Studio with status **Finished**

### Submitting

1. In Studio, go to **Build** and click the completed Android build.
2. Click **Submit to Google Play**.
3. Select the track: **Internal**, **Alpha**, **Beta**, or **Production**.
4. Studio uploads the `.aab` to the selected track via the Google Play Developer API.

### Tracks

| Track | Who sees it |
| ---------- | -------------------------------------- |
| Internal | Up to 100 testers you specify by email |
| Alpha | Closed testing group |
| Beta | Open testing group |
| Production | All Play Store users |

### After upload

* Internal and Alpha/Beta tracks are available to testers almost immediately
* Production releases are reviewed by Google (usually **hours to 2 days**)
* Promote a build from one track to the next in Google Play Console

## Manual submission

If you prefer to submit manually:

1. Download the `.ipa` or `.aab` from the Studio Build page
2. For iOS: use [Transporter](https://apps.apple.com/app/transporter/id1450874784) or Xcode's Organizer
3. For Android: upload the `.aab` directly in Google Play Console under **Release → Production** (or the desired track)
