# Google Sign-In (iOS)

> Set up Google Sign-In for your iOS app — create an iOS OAuth Client ID in Google Cloud Console and add it to your WordPress settings.

Google Sign-In on iOS uses your app's bundle identifier instead of a SHA-1 fingerprint. You create an iOS OAuth Client ID in Google Cloud Console and add it to your WordPress settings alongside the Web and Android Client IDs.

You need a separate iOS Client ID for each bundle identifier — typically one for your release app and one for your test app.

## Step 1 — Create an iOS OAuth Client ID in Google Cloud Console

1. Go to [Google Cloud Console](https://console.cloud.google.com) and open your project.
2. Navigate to **APIs & Services → Credentials**.
3. Click **+ Create Credentials → OAuth client ID**.
4. Set **Application type** to **iOS**.
5. Enter a name (e.g. `Blockli iOS Release`).
6. Enter your **Bundle ID** — this must match your app's bundle identifier exactly (e.g. `com.example.myapp`).
7. Click **Create**.

Repeat for your test bundle identifier (e.g. `Blockli iOS Test`).

## Step 2 — Add the Client IDs to your WordPress settings

1. In your WordPress admin, open the **Blockli** plugin and go to **Settings**.
2. Scroll down to the **Social Login** section.
3. Check **Enable Google sign-in** if it is not already enabled.
4. Under **Google client IDs**, add your iOS Release and iOS Test Client IDs using the input field and the **Add** button.
5. Check **Create WordPress users from verified social sign-ins** if you want new users to be able to register through Google Sign-In. When this is off, social login only works for accounts that already exist in WordPress (matched by email or a previously linked account).
6. Save your settings.

Your Google client IDs list should now contain your Web, Android, and iOS Client IDs. The backend accepts any of them as a valid audience when verifying the token.

## Verify

Install a test build on an iOS device and confirm the Google Sign-In button appears and completes without error. If sign-in fails, check:

* The bundle ID on the OAuth client ID matches the app build you are testing.
* The iOS Client ID has been added in **WordPress → Blockli → Settings → Social Login**.
* The **Web Client ID** is also in the list — it is required for backend token verification.
