# iOS In-App Purchase Setup

> Connect App Store subscriptions and one-time purchases to the Blockli plugin — credentials, products, notifications, and sandbox testing.

The steps below follow the order you'd actually do them. Plugin configuration comes first because it shows you which values you need to gather from App Store Connect.

## 1. Enter your App Store credentials in the plugin

In WordPress admin → **Blockli Mobile App → In-App Purchases → Store Credentials → Apple App Store tab**, fill in four values:

* **Issuer ID** — a UUID shown at the top of **App Store Connect → Users and Access → Integrations → In-App Purchase**.
* **Key ID** — created on that same page (see step 2 below).
* **Bundle ID** — must match your app's bundle identifier exactly. This is the same one Studio bakes into the iOS build.
* **Private key (.p8)** — the file you download in step 2.

## 2. Create the In-App Purchase key in App Store Connect

1. Go to **App Store Connect → Users and Access → Integrations → In-App Purchase** (not the team "App Store Connect API" tab — it's a different section).
2. Click **Generate In-App Purchase Key**, give it a name, and note the **Key ID**.
3. Download the `.p8` file. Apple only lets you download it once — keep it safe.

## 3. Upload and save

Upload the `.p8` file in the plugin and click **Save Store Credentials**. The badge next to the key changes to "Configured."

## 4. Add your products in the plugin

Under the **Store Products tab**, add one row per subscription or one-time product:

* **Product ID** — your own label (e.g. `pro_monthly`).
* **Type** — Subscription or One-time.
* Tick **iOS** and enter the **iOS product ID**. This must exactly match the product ID you create in App Store Connect in the next step.

## 5. Create subscriptions in App Store Connect

1. Open your app in App Store Connect → **Monetization → Subscriptions**.
2. Create a **subscription group**. Users can hold only one active subscription per group, so put related tiers (e.g. Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly) in the same group.
3. Add each subscription: set the product ID, duration, price, display name, and description.
4. Add a **review screenshot**. Apple requires one before it will approve the subscription.

## 6. Wire up Packages, Offerings, and Paywalls

All under **Blockli Mobile App → In-App Purchases**. The structure rolls up: **Package → Offering → Paywall**.

### Packages

One Package per store product.

* **Package ID** — your own short ID.
* **Source** — Native (App Store / Play).
* **Store product** — pick the product from step 4.
* **Interval** — Monthly or Yearly, matching the billing period. Leave blank for flat, non-recurring products.

### Offerings

An Offering is one tier (e.g. "Pro") with its own entitlement and copy.

* **Name, Tagline, Description** — shown on this tier's card.
* **Included access** — feature checklist for this tier.
* **Packages** — add both monthly and yearly Packages here if you want a Monthly/Yearly switcher on the card. Add just one for a single-interval tier.
* **Access grant** — what purchasing any Package in this Offering actually unlocks (a membership group, a course, etc.).

### Paywalls

The purchase screen itself.

* **Title, Tagline, Description, Image** — shown once at the top of the screen.
* **Offerings** — one Offering for a single-tier screen, or several to show multiple tier cards.
* **Visible** — must be checked for the app to fetch this paywall.

## 7. Point Apple's notifications at WordPress

The plugin needs to hear from Apple when a subscription renews or expires — this is what grants and revokes access.

1. On the **Apple App Store tab** in the plugin, copy the **App Store Server Notifications URL** (pre-filled, read-only).
2. In App Store Connect → your app → **App Information → App Store Server Notifications**, paste that URL as both the **Production** and **Sandbox** server URL.
3. Set the version to **Version 2**.

## 8. Test with a sandbox account

1. In App Store Connect → **Users and Access → Sandbox**, create a sandbox tester.
2. Install a build from TestFlight on a physical device and sign in with the sandbox tester.
3. Complete a purchase. Sandbox renewals run on a compressed schedule — you'll see expiry and renewal events within minutes.

For a quick first check before doing a full purchase, use **Send Test Notification** in the App Store Server Notifications section of App Store Connect. The event appears as `test` in the **Notification Events** tab in WordPress.

### What to look for
