# Moving from BuddyBoss App

> Bring your BuddyBoss App setup into Blockli: branding, pages, menus, access, in-app products, existing purchases, and bookmarks.

If your site used BuddyBoss App, the Blockli plugin can bring that setup across. Preview each step first: nothing changes until you press **Migrate**, and every step can be undone. Your BuddyBoss App data is never changed.

Open it in WordPress under **Blockli → Tools → BuddyBoss App Migration**. If no BuddyBoss App data is found on the site, the page says so.

## What comes across

The steps run in this order. Some need an earlier step first.

| Step | What it brings over | Needs first |
| - | - | - |
| Branding | App icons, splash screen, and logos. | — |
| Colours & font | Your app colours and the font used for text. | — |
| App settings | App name, whether people can sign up in the app, and your store bundle identifiers. | — |
| App pages | Your app pages, with BuddyBoss blocks swapped for their Blockli versions. | — |
| In-app products | Your in-app products with the same App Store and Google Play product IDs, what each one unlocks, and your subscription groups. | — |
| Access control | Your access groups as Blockli audiences, then your access rules and restricted message. | App pages, In-app products |
| Menus | Your tab bar and More menu, including who sees each menu. | App pages, Access control |
| Existing purchases | Members' active purchases and subscriptions, checked with Apple and Google when that's set up, so they keep what they paid for. | In-app products |
| Bookmarks | Members' saved posts, courses, and other content. | — |

Links in old notifications and shared links that point at BuddyBoss App pages and screens keep working: they open the matching Blockli page or screen.

## Run the migration

**1. Preview**

Click **Preview everything**, or **Preview** on a single step. You'll see exactly what each step would create or change, and anything that can't come across. Nothing is saved yet.

**2. Decide about existing setup**

If you've already set some things up in Blockli, leave **Replace things I've already set up in Blockli** off to keep them, or turn it on to let the migration overwrite them.

**3. Migrate**

Run steps one at a time with **Migrate**, or all at once with **Migrate everything**. Each step shows a report when it's done, with notes on anything that needs your attention.

**4. Check, and undo if needed**

Open the app and check the result. **Undo** on a step removes everything that step created and puts back the settings it changed.

> [!TIP]
>
> Run **Existing purchases** last, after **In-app products** and **Access control**, so members keep exactly what they paid for.

## Store credentials for Studio

Your BuddyBoss app's Apple and Google credentials can move to Blockli Studio in one encrypted file, so you don't have to set them up again.

1. On the migration page, find **Store credentials for Blockli Studio** and click **Download migration file**.
2. Copy the code that's shown. It appears only once and isn't stored.
3. In Studio, open your app's **Store Setup → Credentials** and choose **Moving from BuddyBoss App?**.
4. Upload the file and enter the code. Studio shows what it will fill in before saving.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Keep the code separate from the file. Anyone with both can open your store credentials. If you lose the code, download a new file.

## Migrate with an AI agent

With the [AI App Builder](https://docs.blockli.app/ai/overview.md) connected, you can ask an agent to do the move with you:

```text theme={null}
Preview what moving my BuddyBoss app pages to Blockli would do.
Preview only, don't run it.
```

The agent shows each step's preview, runs steps only after you agree, and follows the order above. It refuses to run a step before the steps it needs.
